As noted yesterday for understanding the difference between showing versus telling, it was pointed out that describing the physical symptoms of an emotion are one way to do it. Facial expressions and body language are other techniques, which work well when describing the emotions of a non-viewpoint character.

Have you ever stopped to analyze what a specific emotion really feels like physically? Think about it and write some of them down for future reference. Such descriptions are essential to conveying emotion to your reader.
