Apparently it can. Makes the book look less professional. Publishers know all this but Indie authors don’t. One more hurdle we have to scale to compete.

Wonder why different genres have different trim sizes… seems odd for adult paperbacks, though I can certainly understand why coffee table books are a different size than a Dr. Seuss or little golden book or something.

I sure don’t know, but my shelves certainly are a witness to a wide variety of trim sizes. I just didn’t realize they were genre specific.
