This is extremely cool on both an astronomical and astrological level. Jupiter is easy to see these days so be sure to go out there and take a look, weather permitting, of course!

This is Jupiter’s yearly opposition. In 2016, the giant planet is closer than it will be again until the year 2018. It’s brightest and best in the sky for this year!
Wow, tomorrow will be impressive – Jupiter on the other side of the sun and (if my info is correct) an eclipse of our moon.
BTW, what are the astrological aspects of all this?

Yes, impressive indeed. Actually, it’s an eclipse of the Sun with an eclipse of the Moon coming on March 23. Eclipses of both varieties tend to be astrological powerhouses. My monthly horoscopes give some highlights for the different birth signs which you can find here: http://www.valkyrieastrology.com/Makeover/horoscopes/monthlyhoro.htm

Fascinating! Good to have the clarification of which eclipse is tomorrow. I shall check out your site.

One of these days, I’m going to figure out how all these phenomena affect us.

I have a room full of astrology books and still haven’t figured it out entirely. It’s definitely not simple. Too many variables. Makes multi-variable calculus look like 3rd grade arithmetic.

I believe you! Those astrological charts remind me of a carved ivory ball I once saw that was balls within balls, all intricate and apparently somehow carved through a small hole…. amazing, yet baffling.

Great analogy! Astrology definitely works in intricate layers, just like that.
